Tile Setter
Wadsworth, OH

Salary: $30/HR

Job Summary:
The Tile Setter will be responsible for installing various types of tile, including ceramic, porcelain, marble, and stone, in residential settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement.
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives.
- Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and corners.
- Set tiles in place according to design plans, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Apply grout and sealant to tiles and clean excess materials.
- Inspect finished work for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and address any issues.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in tile installation.

Qualifications:
- Proven 3-5 years' experience as a Tile Setter or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of tile installation techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using tile-setting tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform the job effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
