Job Description Summary:

Responsibilities include the complete oversight of building automation and temperature control solutions. Performs inspections and service as assigned. Completes all jobs and paperwork efficiently, accurately and with high quality. This position requires planning, coordination and layout of the work, ensuring that materials, tools, equipment and information are in the proper places at the proper time to meet or exceed production rates, performing the actual work and installations as required.

Key Accountabilities

Safety (Champion of Culture and Performance)
Preplanning (Document review, Routing of systems, field take off (field estimate) & Materials, buyout, Prefabrication plan, Internal Schedule)
Communication (Clear and Professional; Internal and External)
Documentation (Timely, Detailed, Accurate, “Keep Score”)
Field Install (Coordinate tools, information, materials and equipment, remove obstacles, deliver quality)
Field Budget (Beat LH&D, Inspire Productivity, Change Mgmt. partner with PM)
MALT (Mentor, hold Accountable, Lead performance, Train excellence)
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects ranging in size from $250k to over $1MM
Commitment to train, educate and develop other employees
Independence and ability to accomplish job responsibilities with minimal oversight
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned to Meet Business Needs):

Install controllers, field devices, electrical cable, conduit systems (EMT, GRC, PVC, etc.), and plastic tubing in a neat and workmanlike manner.
Follow installation standards and branch QC processes
Stay up-to-date with installation materials and control devices, functions, uses, and proper mounting & installation methods
Direct subcontractors (onsite and offsite) including scheduling, resource management and coordination of construction and start-up services as needed
Using common office software, provide input to project team on site updates, safety reporting, and developing RFIs
Assist with job commissioning, start-up procedures, and owner training if necessary
Maintain and keep current all As-Built drawings weekly
Complete daily field reports and maintain a written daily log
Review, interpret and analyze contract documents, plans, specifications and schedules
Prepare complete takeoffs for labor tasking, budget comparison and material buyouts
Oversee completely and be responsible for the crew productivity, quality and workmanship
Ensure that all installations comply with the NEC and local AHJ requirements
Inform Project Manager immediately of extra work required outside of our contracted scope
Attend required meetings and address all electrical scheduling and coordination needs and ensure the comments are recorded accurately in the meeting minutes
Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent
OSHA training or certification
CPR/First Aid Certificate
Valid Colorado Driver’s License and approved motor vehicle record
Maintain approved motor vehicle record and exhibit good driving behavior
2+ years of related building automation control field installation experience
Installation experience with LONG, Siemens, ATS, Automated Logic, Johnson Controls and other DDC/BAS controls
Ability to read, understand, interpret and follow plans, wiring schematics, all types of blueprints, and DDC/BAS control drawings
Knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to locate, layout, and install control devices
Knowledge of all applicable electrical and mechanical codes
Previous managerial and leadership experience managing both projects and teams
Flexibility to work overtime and varied shift hours, as needed
Ability to direct Journeymen and Apprentices
Proficient knowledge of the construction industry and low voltage electrical systems
Customer service skills and ability to develop new and build existing relationships
Detail oriented and ability to multi-task

Required to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead
Lifting fifty-one (51) to one hundred and fifty (150) pounds with help is required
Work eight (8) to ten (10) hours, six days a week on your feet in all elements of weather
Make transition from parking areas into construction work areas and gain access to all work areas by means of OSHA approved construction ladders or stairs
