Job OverviewWe are on the lookout for a vibrant and engaging Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team. In collaboration with HR leadership, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience at our organization. ResponsibilitiesAs our HR Generalist, you will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, including but not limited to: Proposing innovative procedures and policies to enhance the employee experience and the efficiency of the HR department. Participating in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports. Managing administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Coordinating smooth new-hire onboarding processes for an exceptional first-day experience. Handling the full recruitment lifecycle, from job postings to hiring decisions. Managing employee records, documentation, and HRIS data entry. Contributing to the communication and interpretation of employee handbooks, organizational charts, and policies. Participating in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and practices. Building cooperative relationships with other departments to stay informed about HR issues and initiatives. Planning and implementing employee engagement initiatives, events, and activities. Identifying training needs and coordinating employee training and development programs. Generating HR metrics and reports to assist in decision-making and strategic planning. Assisting In Administering Benefits, Compensation, And Employee Performance Programs.Serving as the primary backup for payroll processing. RequirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness. Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies. Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems. Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field. Proven success working in an HR department. Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment. Location: Must be US-based. This is a hybrid/remote role, with a preference for candidates in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Travel expectations for this position are no more than 10%. CompensationCompetitive salary range for US-based employees.
