"With the wilderness as our catalyst, we reveal potential, inspire hope, and heal families. We believe it. We live it."
This is RedCliff Ascent's mission statement. As our Field Support Manager, you will play a vital role in helping us fulfill this mission. Under the direction of the Field Director, you will supervise, manager, and support a shift of field guides as they mentor at-risk youth in the backcountry. As our Field Support Manager, you will work an exceptionally dynamic job that includes supervising about 15 field guides, responding to crises, transporting students, staff, and supplies, extensive interdepartmental collaboration, and working in both an office and the backcountry. An essential quality in our FSM is good judgement: you will be the first line of support to field guides when they face unprecedented challenges, crisis situations, or simply need emotional support or advice. A successful FSM will also demonstrate: - Decisive leadership
- Attention to the professional development of your shift
- Dedication to safety and compliance
- Creative problem solving skills
- Compassionate management
- Excellent organization and time management
- Consistent, clear, and punctual communication within and across departments
The role of Field Support Manager is ideal for someone who is reliable, flexible, likes working independently, and enjoys a job with a highly variable pace.
