Zenni is looking for a Director of Recruiting to collaborate with the Senior leadership team to create the vision and strategy to enable the Companys overall talent strategy. In this role you will provide functional leadership to the recruiting team, hiring leaders and cohere with the organization as a whole to develop strategies and scalable programs, policies and processes to drive the overall talent strategy.
What we want you to own in this role
- Build and lead a team of recruiters, setting clear goals, and performance standards
- Develop and lead comprehensive recruiting strategies encompassing job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals
- Craft compelling job postings and descriptions that accurately represent roles and attract top candidates
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and collaboration with hiring teams in North America, China and Philippines
- Collaborate with hiring managers to address specific needs and troubleshoot challenges in the recruitment process
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions, adapting strategies to attract the best talent
- Drive Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to create a diverse candidate pool and minimize bias in hiring
- Implement both online and offline employer branding activities to enhance the company's image
- Forecast hiring needs, manage recruitment budgets, and measure key metrics to ensure efficient and effective recruitment processes
Basic Qualifications
- Understanding and respect for diversity, ensuring inclusive recruitment practices
- 4 + years of experience in a recruiter leadership role
- 2+ years of experience managing a minimum of 2 direct reports of recruiters including conducting performance reviews and hiring/termination decisions
- 2 + years of experience in a recruiter management function at an organization responsible for hiring at least 75 + individuals annually across multiple departments and locations
- Ability to report to the Novato, CA HQ office a minimum of 2x per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Director or similar role
- Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives
- Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social networks)
- Good team-management abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates)
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases such as Rippling
- Experience recruiting on a variety positions such as technology, manufacturing, creative, marketing, human resources, accounting/finance, design and optical ideally in the ecommerce space
- Experience developing and managing recruitment metrics, dashboards and reports
- Demonstrated curiosity and understanding around new tools, technology and methods such as AI
- Ability to read and speak Chinese (Mandarin) strongly desired

As of 01/01/2023, the expected annual compensation range for this position is $175k to $195k Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Companys business needs.
