Test Manager

Location: Hartford, CT

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or related field)
• Very strong Test Lead/Manager with 14+ yrs of expertise. Scrum Master Certification is a plus
• Strong working experience in Property & Casualty Domain
• Strong experience in Agile delivery model, expert knowledge in RALLY
• Strong project Management skills by handling all the phases of testing (Test Strategy, Test plan, Test execution from UAT to Production deployment) along with Post production support
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle the projects with Business, multiple vendors, project management, Onshore & Offshore coordination
• Knowledge and exposure to Automation and DevOps concepts and workflow
• Strong experience in SOA/ Web Services /APIs/Restful Services
• Experience testing Native and Web based applications.
• Experience testing cloud and locally hosted applications.
• Experience with debugging tools such as Postman, Fiddler, and Swagger.
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to write simple queries
• Basic knowledge of Mongo DB
• Knowledge of Cloud and Event based Architecture is a plus
  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Client interaction on Day to Day activities with responsibilities of participation in Defect triage meetings, Business review meetings, PI Planning, Standup meeting, Hands on testing, Offshore co-ordination, working with Downstream teams, neighboring teams, interaction with other vendors on need basis
• Test Strategies, Test plans, UAT testing and rest of the SDLC life cycle along with the Agile methodologies or ceremonies, Retrospection, Warranty support, Working sessions to troubleshoot the issues of Scrums, Readouts in PI Planning, Scrum Master responsibilities.
• Client handling capabilities and flexible in support
• Hands on experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies from the PI Planning, Backlog refinements to Done Delivery including the Iteration planning, Standup meetings, Retrospection and closure of the iteration by liaising with the Offshore team and Project management/Scrum Master
• Effective planning of the projects with change in priorities, requirements, adhoc Off-versions by working with the Business on requirements, Development timelines, Business reviews, coordination with impacted teams and Downstream application teams
• Periodic and regular communication of the Projects progress, including the Daily status reporting and release metrics
• Independently driven, Accountable on deliverables, represent client customers.
• Able to work independently to provide end to end testing solutions and work with different LOB and integration system
• Build and derive test strategy, estimation, reporting and metrics and root cause analysis reports
