About the Role The Director Retail Operations will implement a merchandising, operational, and marketing plan to achieve the objectives of the companys retail business plan. Position Responsibilities - Oversees all third party retail operators such Marshal Retail outlets, Flying Point, Renee, etc.
- Identifies and recommends new businesses and opportunities for improvement supported by appropriate research and analyses.
- Develops standard operating procedures and policies to provide consistent customer service levels, protect company assets, and elevate team member morale.
- Responsible for budget preparation and re-forecasting.
- Responsible for managing the timely allocation of branded product to the stores.
- Recruit, hire, and train direct reports to meet business objectives
- Participate in the development of vendor relationships and negotiations.
- Oversees all aspects of inventory management through effective merchandise planning, execution and inventory strategies for Ocean owned retail.
- Conduct scheduled meetings with store owners/management to maintain effective communication.
- Promote retail area as needed, (i.e. collaborate with the Marketing Department on promotional programs) and work together with retail partners to build profitability and raise service standards.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date information database of all inventory to include creation, deletion, updates, and product roll out implementation for ocean owned retail.
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Essential Functions - Must have ability to sit and work from a computer for extended periods and effectively use a computer keyboard.
- Must be able to stand at copier workstation.
- Must be able to twist and bend while standing and sitting in order to access files at desk and in file cabinets.
- Must have the manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and be capable viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to read fine print areas of invoices and contracts.
- Must be able lift up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
Whats Required - Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
- Degree in Hotel or Business Management required.
- A minimum of 5 years multi-unit retail operations or merchandising experience
- Strong planning, communication, organizational and supervisory skills
- Must have thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
