ECFX, a dynamic start-up that recently raised growth equity to accelerate their growth, is seeking a Director of Sales who will be responsible for growing revenue by leading the sales team and providing guidance and experience to help them identify, qualify, and coordinate meetings across all opportunities. They will also help the team in negotiating contracts and closing deals with the overall goal of driving growth that would not be achieved without their leadership and guidance. They will report to the CEO and Co-Founder and work collaboratively with others as a member of the leadership team. Major Areas of Accountability: - Consistently attain quota, quarter over quarter, with 80% of reps exceeding 80% of their quota.
- Attract, hire, onboard, motivate, and develop high-performing sales staff.
- Set goals, quotas, KPIs, and the structure for tracking them to build a metrics-driven and predictable revenue-producing team.
- Assess and improve current sales processes, strategies, tactics and commission plan.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create, design, and operationalize demand gen campaigns.
- Partner with Product to ensure the latest messaging and value proposition are informing the roadmap
- Work with Customer Success to increase our understanding of client challenges and needs
- Establish and maintain key customer relationships with both influencers and decision-makers.
- Create reports and provide forecasts, guidance, and feedback to the leadership team regarding sales team performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Own the accuracy and completeness of all sales data in the CRM system.
- Monitor market trends and competitor products and activities.
- Travel as necessary for trade shows, sales events, or customer meetings (estimated 20% of time).
Requirements - Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 6+ years of successful software sales experience, preferably in legal or professional services. Experience selling to large law firms is a plus.
- Prior sales management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of SaaS and, ideally, legal technology.
- A comprehensive understanding of the legal and/or professional services marketplace, its business culture, processes, value drivers and business operations either through sales or project management.
- Strong ability to (1) demonstrate in person and virtually, (2) develop innovative value propositions to maximize sales revenue, and (3) negotiate and close under time and objective pressure.
- Entrepreneurial, high energy, resilient, and results driven; strong drive to build a business and break new grounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
