Enviromedica, a rapidly growing and innovative company in the dietary supplements and health and beauty business, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Manufacturing for overseeing all plant operations to support the Companys growth. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to Safety, Production, Engineering & Process Improvement, Logistics & Warehousing, and Equipment & Facilities to ensure that the business objectives, including P&L, are achieved. The Director of Manufacturing will work closely with the rest of the Company departments. The position reports to the Owner/CEO. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to set manufacturing targets and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Build and lead a high-performing manufacturing team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Ensure that the plant operates safely, cleanly, efficiently, and is OSHA / cGMP, and other federal, state, and local regulations compliant.
- Lead the plant quality initiatives by collaborating with the Quality department to achieve operational excellence and to maintain regulatory and quality systems compliance.
- Manage and lead all aspects of the manufacturing process, including planning, scheduling, procurement, and inventory control, to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety in all manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for identifying training needs and provide opportunities for skill development to enhance the capabilities of the manufacturing team
- Monitor and analyze production metrics, such as yield, cycle time, and waste, and implement corrective actions as necessary to drive continuous improvement.
- Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies, manufacturing and inventory scalability and distribution processes.
- Manage all contract services for the facility.
- Participate and project manage facility improvements, construction, repairs, plant wide planned maintenance program, and equipment installations.
- May be responsible for special projects related to other functional areas of the Company.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - An entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset for driving continuous improvements across all areas of the business.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior FDA regulated manufacturing leadership role, preferably within the health and wellness, nutraceutical, or consumer goods industry.
- Experience in operations and/or manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in process-oriented operations or related industry BA/BS in industrial, mechanical, or business administration.
- Self-motivated, professional, strong work-ethic, excellent leadership ability, with an emphasis on forward-thinking, and creative approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use sound judgment in stressful situations
- Direct experience implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Competency with statistical tools, ERP platforms (e.g. Oracle NetSuite), and cloud/web-based technologies.
- Spanish fluency is a strong plus
