Contemporary Security Canada (CSC), an integrated team of local and international experts, will provide security screening services for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
To support the security screening services contract, CSC is seeking enthusiastic and skilled trainers to deliver training to over 800 X-Ray Operators. This training will be delivered through a web-based software program that requires instructor interaction.

Key
Responsibilities
• Conduct and monitor training sessions for a diverse audience at varying levels of abilities
• Review and track progress of delegates to ensure adherence to standards and to monitor the established performance goals
• Take action to address individual delegate needs by selecting appropriate learning resources and delivery methods
• Maintain records of delegates progress
• Ensure the accuracy of all training documentation
• Help develop the training programs standard operating procedures and administrative procedures
• Motivate delegates to excel and to remain committed to a demanding training regimen
The X-Ray Object Recognition Trainers may also be required to deliver other training programs. This position may also require some travel as well as evening and weekend work.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• 3 to 5 years of related experience as a trainer and assessor, preferably in a security or customer service environment
• Professional qualification in Workplace Training
• Instructor experience in a computer-assisted environment is desirable, but not essential
• Superior interpersonal, communication, customer-service and facilitation skills
• Ability to deliver and assess a range of training programs, including job specific and professional development programs
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work well independently and under pressure
• Ability to prepare sessions, training plans and classes
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), French an asset
• Professional demeanor
