Responsibilities: Financial management; communication with staff and volunteers overseas regarding financial reports in various currencies; tracking U.S. and overseas budgets and expenditures; controlling cash and U.S. office revenue and expenses; cost control & reduction; integrating and adjusting internal financial systems for optimal efficiency; paying bills and taxes; submitting regular monthly finance reports to Director and donors; submitting major financial reports to U.S. and United Nations donors; preparing accounts and reports for upcoming external audit; supervision of Vision’s Finance Coordinator and Intern.


Skills:
Qualifications: Fluency in QuickBooks accounting software and proficiency with double-entry, accrual method of accounting essential. Experience producing financial statements and working with external auditors required. Experience managing finances of U.S. government contracts, especially USAID, desirable. University degree required, preferably an MBA or CPA. One or more year’s experience living and working in a developing country and knowledge of African and/or Latin American development issues required. Spanish or French language capability helpful. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to manage a variety of duties in a small office.
