Position Description
Candidate will provide technical and/or programmatic leadership for US Army unmanned aircraft systems projects. Candidate will interface with operational and technical experts and guide technical solutions into fieldable applications for the Warfighter. Candidate must be highly organized with a strong technical background in computer hardware, software, networks, and the integration and production of systems. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills will be essential for the team environment.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science at minimum, with 10 years experience in a related field. Candidate must be a US citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. Candidate must be able to obtain a classified security clearance. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to execute their role independently with occasional reporting/oversight.

Other Qualifications
Candidate's background must be strong in systems engineering or possess significant experience in an applicable domain. Experience in a systems or software engineering role as an Architect highly desired. Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) is highly desired. Experience with or understanding of Army network design, development and/or use in the field is highly desired (GIG, BFT, EPLRS, etc). Experience with projects that incorporated open architectures, service oriented architectures (SOA) and/or DO-178B/254 highly desired.

Security Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain a classified security clearance.
