Expert Staffing 713-856-7132 is currently filling the following position:

Division: Process Systems & Solutions - Refining & Chemical Industry Center

Experience:
o 6-10 years of E&I work on control systems/DCS/PLCs for projects:
o With large Refining and Petrochemical companies
o Must have field experience, and be interested in working in plant environments
o Control system/DCS/automation/instrumentation projects that contained system definition & architecture, instrument index, control system database, control room design, control system configuration, control system power & grounding, panels/skids/RIEs, PLC integration, safety system integration, field device integration, FAT, site construction, SAT, commissioning, and start-up
o Both FEED studies and implementation projects
o Both grass-roots and control system upgrades projects
o Both LSTK and T&M projects
o Technical responsibility for E&I work on $1-20MM projects
o PLC system & MCC experience; Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Siemens
o Other control system experience; Honeywell, Invensys, ABB
o Development & coordination of construction bid packages
o Field instrument work, including specification & installation of field instruments
o 2-3 years doing E&I work around DeltaV control systems
o Field walk-down experience in Refinery and Petrochemical plants
o Hot-cutover experience a plus
o Rosemount transmitter & Fisher Controls DVC knowledge a plus
o Experience with FOUNDATION fieldbus and segment design a plus
o Experience with other bus technologies, e.g. ProfibusDP, DeviceNet, AS-i Bus a plus
o Experience working for a DCS supplier, local systems integrator, or EPC
o Electrical Engineers additional focus
o Control system hardware specs
o Power, heat, UPS specs
o IT, servers, routers, cables/cabling for IT and control networks
o Intrinsic Safety, non-incendive circuits, IS barriers
o Grounding techniques
o Bus technologies, power supplies, power conditioning, bricks, etc.
o Ff electrical/signaling; Ff segment design
o ProfibusDP, DeviceNet, AS-i bus
o Control room layout, cables, fiber optics
o Telecom, any satellite or microwave
o Motor sizing, bucket sizing
o MCCs
o Instrument Engineers additional focus
o Control valve applications and specs
o On/off valve applications and specs
o Transmitter applications and specs
o P&ID walkdowns
o P&IDs
o Loop schematics
o INtools & database imports into DeltaV
o Ff devices/connectivity
o Hot cutovers of instruments

Background prior to E&I Experience:
o Configuration of PLCs or Safety Systems
o Working on FEED studies, estimating, proposal development
o Field experience working in a Refinery or Petrochemical plant
Degree & Certification:
o BS EE or BS ChE or equivalent
o PE highly desireable
