C /Unix Senior Software Developers

This leading Financial Software Firm is looking for Senior Software Developers with in depth understanding of C and Unix to join it's R&D organization in NYC. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the design, development and support of end to end solutions focusing on one of the company's core money making systems. These systems and applications are used globally by top financial institutions …the company is considered to be the thought leader in the industry!
You will be working on diverse applications/projects that affect many aspects of the trading life cycle ranging from (Algo Trading Strategy & Risk Management Tools, Pricing and Analytics, Connectivity, Executions & Clearing, and more).
To be successful, you must have a solid foundation with Software Development Life Cycle; Deep understanding of Object Oriented Technologies (OOAD/OOP); Expertise in C, C , High-Performance Unix Programming (with deep knowledge of static variables, static functions, pointers, exception handling, compilers, memory management). Qualified candidates will also have a solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Multithreading, STL - Standard Template Libraries, efficient use of algorithmic complexities, assignment operators, inheritance and Modular/Object-Oriented design, working knowledge of Systems Programming (eg threads, sockets) and practical experience with Unit/Regression Testing.
Selected candidates will join a world-class R&D team developing large-scale, reusable (portable, thread-safe, alias-safe, exception-neutral, and ultra-high performance) foundation and application infrastructure libraries. Unlike most software environments, all of the development is new and carefully organized as a fine-grained, highly modular, meticulously documented, and thoroughly tested repository of physically sound software. You will be part of a unique team innovating financial software applications for the firm's very visible core money making business!

Strong educational background with concentration in Computer Science, Mathematics, physics or engineering. Out of the box thinking with above average analytical and problem solving abilities.
