Summary of Position:
The C Developer will be an integral member of the Development Team, and be responsible for full life cycle development of their critical applications. This includes not only new functionality, but enhancements as well. The Developer will work with Product Management, QA and Customer Support.


Experience/skills:
• 5+ years experience developing in C. Extensive familiarity with pointers and data types.
• 2+ years experience developing in C++. Experience with multi threading and inheritance.
• Experience with WINSOCK and writing host and client socket application
• Very strong DOS required, total comfort at the command line is a must
• ODBC embedded within ‘C’ is a strong plus, familiarity with ODBC in a non GUI environment as well as strong SQL if also very important.
• Additional experience with other languages and technologies is a plus, as the application may be re-written and re-architected in the future.
• Must be able to work with existing legacy code.
• Must be a self-starter, independent thinker and take initiative on technical projects.
• Background in Pharmacy or HealthCare a plus, background in billing systems and data integrity a strong plus.
• Experience in a small, entrepreneurial environment is preferred, but not required. Must at least have the desire to be a critical team member of a small, profitable and ongoing growth-oriented environment where leadership experience will be valued. Must be able to adapt to change and be flexible.
• Must be able to interface and work closely with multiple departments and disciplines in a culture that values a loyal, dedicated team of technical professionals.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing the development/integration of legacy applications with new technology is a big plus, but not required.
• Must exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed to get the job done.
• Degreed Professional required.
