Requires ETL development experience with Ab Initio
Under general supervision completes advanced programming/analysis tasks, including estimating design, analysis, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, implementation of programs and production support. Supports team effort through sharing of technical knowledge. Main area of responsibility will be to develop ETL jobs to support the Project and Resource Management Datamart. As need arises, will also assist in providing software package configuration changes to the HP Project and Portfolio
Management (PPM Software Packages).
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Proficient in advanced programming skills and competent in analysis and problem solving Effectively handles multiple tasks and can fully evaluate and estimate new tasks Places emphasis on the business partner Solid experience and proficiency with SQL Proficient understanding or ORACLE, 10g, and database concepts Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and competency in designing and developing ETL processes utilizing Ab Initio Efficiently handles multiple tasks and can evaluate and estimate new tasks
Additional Desirable skills:
COGNOS 8.x
Development experience- COGNOS framework manager COGNOS 8.x reporting tools experience (e.g., query and report studio)
LEAD POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide technical expertise to 6-8 developers writing Ab Initio graphs updating Teradata databases. Experience with Ab Initio Continuous Flows for real-time update a plus. Ability to plan at an operational level and manage the effective use of employee and consultant resources to implement multiple projects
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Provide Ab Initio design expertise to development team Coach and mentor developers Transform business specifications into cost-effective information systems applications Prioritizes work within established budget objectives Provides the project manager/supervisor with timely and accurate information regarding the performance of the assigned projects) Builds and leverages effective alliances across the technical and business community ensuring the best utilization of resources
OTHER:
Technical Knowledge
Has master level knowledge of Ab Initio (minimum of 5 years), and working knowledge of Teradata. Has the ability to develop a thorough understanding of the Claim business units that assigned projects are supporting. Able to use the understanding of the business and systems environment to develop appropriate and timely solutions. Has conceptual knowledge of varying technologies and the ability to make decisions based on that knowledge.
