This is your chance to contribute to one of the most exciting and creative properties in the entertainment industry. The Senior Designer for this team will work closely with the Executive Producer to help execute on a major functional area of the product. The work will include working with an internal team as well as an external partner to deliver on the functional area. He/she will bring a collaborative spirit and excellent organizational skills to drive innovation throughout the experience. The ideal candidate is able to look across all design aspects of the product - core mechanics, UI, storytelling, player progression, rewards, balance and pacing. RESPONSIBILITIES Set clear creative goals and deliverables with the Executive Producer. Design, balance and maintain complex systems to deliver on the product vision. Create and maintain the Design Document and associated documentation. Work effectively with internal and external partners to guide and influence the creative direction of the product. Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with Art, Dev, Audio, and Production that ensures a best-in-industry design process. Provide training, guidance/feedback, and mentorship to other designers. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Minimum three years of games industry experience working in a design capacity. Must have shipped at least one AAA game experience as a member of the design team. Excellent communication skills - a strong ability to work across disciplines to gather feedback and address cross-functional design issues. Ability to shepherd non-creative folk through the creative process; articulate and explain to them the underlying design of the system. Experience designing multiplayer experiences, social/community and RPG systems a plus.
